　　Specifically, service exports of 1,908.24 billion yuan, an increase of 23.1%; imports of 2,029.32 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9%. Service exports increased by 5.2 percentage points more than imports, driving the service trade deficit fell 29.5% to 121.08 billion yuan. in August, the national service imports and exports totaled 543.79 billion yuan, an increase of 17.6%.

　　Knowledge-intensive services trade grew steadily. 1 to August, the import and export of knowledge-intensive services 1,643.27 billion yuan, an increase of 11.4%. Among them, exports of knowledge-intensive services 929.79 billion yuan, an increase of 15.7%; export growth is faster in the field of intellectual property rights royalties, telecommunications computer and information services, up 24%, 18.4%. Knowledge-intensive services imports 713.48 billion yuan, an increase of 6.2%; imports of faster growth in the field of insurance services, the growth rate of 64.4%.

　　Travel services import and export to maintain growth. 1 to August, the national travel services import and export 542.66 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1%. Excluding travel services, China's service import and export grew 22.8% from January to August, with exports up 24.5% and imports up 20.8%; compared with the same period in 2019, service import and export grew 51.9%.
