An oasis of innovation: cooperation with universities and science

Around 250 people will work on product and system innovations in the new Rhein-Würth Innovation Center Curio in the future: scientists and students from Würth's product development departments, production business subsidiaries as well as technical universities, who will be in direct contact with Würth customers from a wide range of industries.

The focus areas of the Ryan Würth Innovation Center Curio are fastening technology, screws, anchors, chemicals, power tools and systems, which are the areas of expertise of the Würth Group. In cooperation with local scientists from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the University of Stuttgart and Kintzelshoe, Würth will create an oasis of innovation based on research, development and application in these areas, ensuring that only products of high quality are developed for customers.

Innovation motivation through proximity to the customer

Würth interacts closely with its customers and draws inspiration for innovation from the challenges they face on a daily basis. Involving customers in the development of products and services is a central element. In interactive workshops, Würth simulates the world of its customers' applications. In addition to physical products, Würth also works on product connections such as the digital management tool ORSY®, which helps customers manage their power tools online.

Sustainable working environment

The Ryan Würth Innovation Center Curio ensures that application-based research and development in the workshop, the test track, the air-conditioned room, the 3D printing technology, the seismic test bench for anchoring systems and the IoT lab are constantly moving forward. The Innovation Center allows simulations of earthquakes and tests the functionality of products under extreme conditions, as well as climate chambers and tropical houses to simulate the associated environmental effects.
