Kazakhstan's agriculture minister Karashukeyev said at the Senate "Government Dialogue" on the same day that kazakhstan's agricultural development is facing high risks, heavily dependent on natural climate conditions, the main reason is backward agricultural technology, extensive production methods.
Ka says diversification must be pursued to the end. Problems such as poor agricultural technology, non-compliance with crop rotation and declining soil fertility remain, mainly due to the lack of a good mechanism for monitoring land use. Outdated breeding methods result in inadequate existing breeding systems and the risk of dependence on imported seeds for major crops. The main problem of the livestock industry is that the development of the industry is seriously disconnected from the feed security capacity, and the domestic feed production can only meet half of the existing stock demand. Between 20% and 60% of rangeland is degraded and 42.4% of rangeland is unusable due to lack of irrigation water sources.
In order to solve the above problems, the Kazakh government will propose tasks and measures to promote the development of agro-industrial complex industry through the National Program for the development of agro-industrial Complex industry by 2030. At the same time, the National Programme for the development of agro-industrial Complex for 2021-2025 has been adopted and started to be implemented in accordance with the presidential directive. The targets include: increasing agricultural Labour productivity by 1.5 times by 2025; To achieve complete self-sufficiency in major food products for people's livelihood; The export of agricultural products will be doubled, and processed agricultural products will account for 70% of exports. Through the implementation of investment projects, seven ecological systems of grain, oil, fruit, vegetables, sugar, meat and milk will be established to increase the income of one million rural residents. To achieve these goals, we plan to invest 4.1 trillion tenge in 582 investment projects in the agricultural sector.
