The Nihon Keizai Shimbun recently published a series of reports titled "China's ELECTRIC vehicles go Global", saying that China's electric vehicles are developing rapidly, with domestic sales surging, charging piles and other infrastructure in place, and may become the "factory of the world" for electric vehicles in the future.


China will produce about 60 percent of the world's electric vehicles in 2021, the report said, citing data from British auto market consultancy Elsie. After producing nearly 70 percent of the world's smartphones, China could become the "factory of the world" for electric vehicles, the report said.


'The Chinese government's efforts to strengthen infrastructure have played an important role in fostering the market for electric vehicles.' Sales of Chinese electric vehicles have not only doubled in the domestic market, but are also entering the world market, the report said. In 2021, China will export far more electric vehicles than Second-ranked Germany.


According to the report, The influence of Chinese electric vehicles in the world is rapidly expanding due to their wide variety, affordable price, good design and industrial agglomeration advantages. From France, Germany, the Netherlands and Norway to Thailand and Indonesia, Chinese electric vehicles are rapidly gaining popularity in European and Asian markets.
