In the Urban Craft Experiment Competition, the theme of "Craft and the City" is the collision of craft and human creativity for peaceful coexistence in the city.
Each person or team can apply for one project, and only those proposals that pass the first round of judging will be selected for the second round of PT. After the final results are announced, research and publications about the winning proposals will be completed in August 2023, with a total writing period of two months.
Both competitions have no nationality restrictions, and anyone 18 years old and above can apply to participate.
Like the Biennale, the Cheongju International Craft Awards were launched in 1999 and have so far selected more than 1,800 winning entries from artists in 50 countries and regions, leading the way in international craft development.
