In the face of the promising new energy vehicle market in China, UL, a world-famous testing and certification agency, has been increasing its efforts in China's market layout. UL Changzhou power battery testing laboratory was officially opened on 28th, helping the upgrading and development of China's new energy vehicle industry. On the same day, Feng Hao, vice president of UL and managing director of Greater China region, also issued UL 2580 certification certificate to SAIC and UL 2594 certification certificate to anbofu Central Electric (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., and held signing ceremonies with BAIC and Great Wall motors respectively.UL is a well-known testing and certification agency in the world, and 2020 is the 40th anniversary of UL entering the Chinese market. At present, UL has established 7 laboratories and 11 branches including Changzhou laboratory in the Chinese market, providing professional testing and certification services to more than 22000 Chinese customers.New energy vehicle is one of the seven strategic development industries in China. In response to this trend, UL invested in the construction of the first battery laboratory focusing on the field of new energy vehicles in Changzhou, so as to better serve the new energy vehicle industry in China and even the world. This also further enhanced the technical strength and strategic layout of UL in the new energy vehicle industry."Over the past 40 years in China, UL has continued to provide high-quality local testing and certification services to Chinese customers, driving their growth and prosperity, and helping them firmly occupy an important engine position in the global supply chain," said Jennifer Scanlon, President and CEO of UL. UL will help the local government to build Changzhou into a world advanced electric vehicle and power battery development center, and contribute to the future development of robots and intelligent vehicles. "At present, UL Changzhou laboratory has completed the first phase of the project, covering an area of 13000 square meters, equipped with the world's advanced battery charging and discharging and environmental testing equipment. Relying on UL's deep accumulation in the field of power batteries, it will provide new energy vehicle manufacturers and power battery manufacturers with safety solutions throughout the whole industry chain.Zhou Weifang, President of UL Internet technology group, said that the completion of UL Changzhou laboratory marks another major milestone for UL in China: it has one of the most advanced equipment and facilities in the world, which can provide comprehensive testing and evaluation services for electric vehicles, battery manufacturers and top suppliers.
